NEWS ABOUT ANGUILLA:
Caribbean island losing it's coastline
(3.16.12) - Anguilla has been progressively losing its coast after Hurricane Luis - The tiny Caribbean island of Anguilla was thoroughly battered on Sep. 4, 1995, when Hurricane Luis, a category four storm, unleashed its wrath. Waves eroded all of the beaches, leaving vast areas of the shoreline covered with dead sea grass and debris torn from the coral reefs. Hurricane Lenny added to the island's woes four years later, eroding coastal areas to the point that they have never fully recovered. Ongoing loss of its coastline is hard evidence that Anguilla is being impacted by climate change. (READ MORE from CatholicOnline)
